Inspiration: The darkness of the sad poverty in parts of Cairo in the “City of the Dead” area which is a cemetery that is so populated with squatters that they had to put schools in it.

Inspiration: The bedouins and their camel caravans beside the pyramids.

The large camel is from Winter Frolic, as is the border of camels. I actually bought this Cricut cartridge because I had done every other camel image offered and it had a new camel.

We took a tour of the Manial Palace. It is a museum now but was once the home of a wealthy Muslim man.
